I really enjoy the original work of Michelle Czajkowski, a webcomic called Avas Demon (http://www.avasdemon.com/) that has intense and beautiful colors.
Theres also Homestuck by Andrew Hussie (http://mspaintadventures.com/) that's about 8,000 pages long and has been going on for 5 years.
